A former La Masia player has returned home. Dani Olmo left La Masia at a young age to pursue opportunities in Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb, where he gained experience playing for the first team. His successful stint in Croatia caught the eye of German teams, leading to a move to RB Leipzig for a significant fee. After excelling in the Bundesliga and the Champions League with RB Leipzig, Dani was selected by the Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente and played a crucial role in their victory at the recent Euro Cup 2024, finishing as the competition's top scorer.
Dani's versatility as an attacking midfielder, capable of playing on the wings and even as a false number nine, provides various options for our coach Hansi Flick to utilize his skills effectively and help the Blaugrana team strive for a successful season, aiming to bring trophies to the fans of the club!
Dani is set to don the number twenty jersey for Blaugrana and has inked a lengthy deal with FC Barcelona spanning the next six seasons until 30 June 2030, with a buyout clause of 500 million euros.
